At Girls on the Run of Spokane County, we're excited to announce that registration for our Celebratory 5k is officially open! This event is the culmination of our 10-week program, where girls in grades 3-5 learn important life skills such as confidence, teamwork, and positive self-image while training for the 5k. We invite all families, friends, and supporters to join us in celebrating the girls' achievements on this special day.

Last year, I got back into running. I've been running 7-10 miles a week pretty regularly and I feel so strong and powerful and grateful that I have a body that can still move. With this jump back into running, a friend spontaneously asked me if I wanted to run a 5k the next day. I've been running a decent amount, so without hesitation, I said, "sure!"
